Martin Faichney
BENTHAM Town Council is advertising a vacancy after Martin Faichney ceased to be a member.
Mr Faichney, who runs a fish and chip shop, told the Gazette his non-attendance since May was due to personal and business reasons. He said he had enjoyed his time on the council but family had to 'come first'.
Bentham Town Council heard at its December meeting that the vacancy arose under section 85 of the Local Government Act 1972. Councillors agreed to send a letter of thanks to Mr Faichney for his service.
