OUTLINE plans for two new homes on farmland at Sizergh, near Levens, met with disapproval from South Lakeland District Council.
Planners decided the pair of dwellings planned for Frosthwaite Farm by Mr and Mrs N Mitchell-Hunter would 'urbanise' the landscape and look 'incongruous'.
Seven neighbours raised objections, including the likely impact on the setting of nearby 18th century buildings, and possible increased surface water flooding at Woodside Cottages.
