RESIDENTS are being invited to have their say on Carnforth's future as part of a major planning blueprint for the Lancaster district.
Close to 800 new homes are proposed for the north Lancashire railway town in Lancaster City Council's draft local plan. The weighty document sets out to identify enough land for 13,500 new homes and potentially 9,500 jobs in the next 20 years.
The public has until Friday, March 24 to say what they think about the proposals, and drop-in events are being held, including:
- Thursday, February 9 at Carnforth Station Heritage Centre, 4pm-7pm
- Tuesday, February 21at Carnforth Civic Hall, 3pm-6pm
- and Tuesday, March 7 at Hornby Institute, 4pm-7pm.
