A WOMAN in her 50s who suffered serious injuries after a 20-metre fall has had to be flown to hospital.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist the 56-year-old woman on Friday afternoon after she fell onto rocks while scrambling on a small crag near Bowder Stone, just south of Keswick.
The team responded with two vehicles heading out immediately to assist and a team of paramedics at the scene.
The Great North Air Ambulance attended and she was flown to the Royal Preston Hospital for treatment after a near two-hour flight.
