PUPILS at a Dales secondary school have pulled out all the stops to put on a show stopping performance featuring hits from one of the country's best-loved bands.
Over three nights this month, young people from Settlebeck School, Sedbergh, wowed audiences with an energetic production of 'Our House.' Based in 1980s Camden Town, Our House tells the story of London lad Joe Casey and includes a collection of Madness hits including House of Fun, Baggy Trousers, Driving in my Car and It Must Be Love.
The show was directed by drama and music teachers Gillian Rea and Jo Brennan who were ably assisted by the band.
“Most of the students have never been on stage or even acted before this production of ‘Our House,’ said head teacher Karen Grant. "They have worked so incredibly hard to give a wonderful, entertaining performance. I am immensely proud of all the students involved, either acting or backstage.”
