One of the many beacons that blazed across the country to mark VE Day 2015
AHEAD of the nationwide lighting of beacons next year to mark the end of World War One, Carnforth Town Council agreed the most prominent nearby location would be Warton Crag.
The council is to ask Warton Parish Council if it would like to jointly mark the occasion, at dusk on November 11, 1818. HM The Queen is to light the first beacon.
