FIR Trees guest house in Windermere has been sold from an asking price of £925,000 by the hotels and licensed property team at real estate advisors Colliers International.

Acting on behalf of owners Bob and Bea Towers, who are retiring from the hospitality industry, Colliers sold the double-fronted property in Lake Road to the Brooker Elliott Partnership with Fir Trees to be operated by Tim and Victoria Brooker.

Fir Trees offers nine high quality en-suite letting bedrooms with separate three-bedroom owners’ accommodation, private garden and parking.

The sale was achieved by Haydn Spedding, associate director, hotels and licensed property at the Manchester office of Colliers International.

“With 2016 having proved to be a particularly strong trading season for serviced accommodation in the Lake District National Park, the sale of Fir Trees continues that trend at the start of 2017 in a market showing ongoing and significant improvement in the run-up to this year’s visitor season,” he said.
