WET and windy weather has caused delays to people travelling by car, train and ferry throughout the day.

Kendal Police have urged drivers to take care while out on the road.

Earlier today Singleton Park Road, up from the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, was filled with water, with drivers reporting difficulties in travelling to and out from Kendal.

Cumbria Police passed the matter to the Highways team, and the road is now reported clear.
