LOWER Allithwaite Parish Council is seeking planning consent for a new footbridge over the River Eea in Cartmel.
The bridge would be built behind the Kings Arms pub, at Ford Road, from slender, curved, lacquered steel with non-slip paving, according to plans lodged with South Lakeland District Council. It would be wide enough for people in wheelchairs to use.
