JEWELLERY has been stolen from an elderly resident's home near Milnthorpe.
On February 9 at around 11.25am, the elderly occupant of a house in Ackenthwaite opened the door to a man who stated he was from the health service, and needed to see if dangerous material had entered the water supply.
The occupant of the house was distracted by the man and a number of items were taken from a safe, including silverware, cash and jewellery.
Police have recovered some of the silverware taken but are still seeking information about the jewellery shown in the images.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Tom Pearman at Kendal CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
