A CARNFORTH GP joined tens of thousands of protestors marching in London against NHS cuts last Saturday.

Dr David Wrigley of Ash Trees Surgery, deputy chair of the British Medical Association, posted a challenge to Prime Minister Theresa May via Twitter from the event. "This #OurNHS march is MASSIVE," he tweeted. "Are you listening Mrs May? Fund the NHS adequately!"

Dr Wrigley is a vocal supporter of increased funding for the health service. In another message on Twitter from the rally, he said: "All of us fighting for the NHS which is being destroyed by this govt."

Organisers of the #OurNHS march say 250,000 people took to the streets of London, ahead of yesterday's Budget.
