A TOTAL of 56 lots are due to come under the hammer at Auction House Cumbria auction next month.

This auction will feature a Georgian-built Tytup Hall near Dalton-in-Furness, which dates back to the early 18th century.

The five-bedroom property, which holds three attic rooms and a one-bedroom cottage, is due to be auctioned with a guide price of £325,000.

Mark Plant from Auction House Cumbria said: “It’s unusual to see such a high caliber of property coming onto the market. It needs updating in terms of its kitchen and bathrooms but the standard of building is very high. It’s a mini-estate really with lots of potential and in Cumbrian terms it’s certainly not isolated.”

Another unusual lot also coming up for sale is a plot of land at Thornyfields, near Crook within the Lake District National Park, which has planning permission to hold one static caravan, with bidding starting at £30,000.

There is a caravan on the site already, which has been used as a holiday home since the 1970s on the condition it is only occupied for seasonal use between March 1and February 14 each year.

Mr Plant said: “This is an outstanding location and we have never known this kind of auction lot to come onto the market. The views are unmatched yet it’s not too far from either Lake Windermere or Kendal.”

The Auction House Cumbria auction will be held on Thursday April 13 at 12pm in Carlisle and 6.30pm in Ulverston.
