Ulverston
A SOUTH Lakeland town is seeking to be recognised by the World Health Organisation as the first 'healthy town' in Cumbria.

A steering group made up of council members, NHS professionals and town representatives have be brought together to help Ulverston achieve the status.
Over the next six months a community plan will be drawn up to find ways of improving the social, economic and health outcomes in Ulverston, with the goal of creating a lasting legacy of well-being in the town.
