A UK act who started their career under the mentorship of Tom Jones are to support the Welsh singing legend at his show at Cartmel Racecourse this summer.

Into The Ark started out busking, and were coached by Tom Jones all the way to this week’s final on The Voice.

Sir Tom will play live at the Cumbrian racecourse on Friday June 30 performing hits from an incredible career spanning six decades.

Speaking on The Voice Sir Tom said: “These two boys are unique. There’s nothing around them like this at the moment. They don’t copy anybody, they are original.”

Hailing from Blackwood in South Wales, Into the Ark are made up of 21-year-old Taylor Jones and 25-year-old Dane Lloyd.

The soulful pair won over the public and judges of the hit ITV1 show in their first audition with a brilliant rendition of Elvis Presley’s classic ‘Burning Love’.

Over the weeks audiences have seen them sing Drake’s ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ and ‘Let It Be Me’ by Ray Lamontagne.

In the final they played a version of Alicia Keys’ ‘No One’ and a duet of Sam and Dave’s ‘Hold On I’m Coming’.

Their performance opening for Tom Jones a sspecially selected support act, will be the starting point for the duo’s post-Voice career.
