NINETEEN brain boxes from Kirkbie Kendal School earned certificates in the National Mathematical Challenge.
More than 250,000 students from schools and colleges across the UK had 60 minutes to answer 25 varied multiple-choice maths problems.
Students aged between 14-16 received gold, silver and bronze certificates.
Head teacher Phil Hyman said: "The questions are tough. Thank you to the students for taking the challenge and to the mathematics teachers at school for developing the students' skills."
