A RECORD-breaking 908 entries were displayed in the 86 classes at the Sedbergh Spring Show on Saturday.

The show was opened by the town’s very own Rev. Carole Marsden and attracted more visitors than ever before.

The exhibits were highly praised by the judges who had a difficult job to select the best and they commended all the entrants.

Local schools Settlebeck Academy and Sedbergh Primary pulled out all the stops to show off their talents.

The most innovative new class for '3 Dimensional, computer generated objects' provided scope for the students to demonstrate their impressive, up-to-date skills.

Sedbergh Town Band added to the relaxed atmosphere with an hour-long tuneful recital.

The ladies of Killington WI were kept at full stretch all afternoon serving their home made refreshments and the People’s Hall was thronged with admiring visitors.

The prize winners were awarded their cups and trophies by Carole Marsden who then closed proceedings by distributing generous raffle prizes.
