A MAN was rescued by Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team after injuring his ankle at Glenridding.
The walker, from Twickenham, fell on Saturday (April 15), having slipped on the Glenridding valley path leading to Red Tarn.
Patterdale MRT were called out at 4.45pm, assessed the man’s injuries and splinted his leg before placing him on a stretcher.
He was transferred to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Centre where a doctor examined him and he was then referred to Cumberland Infirmary for further treatment.
13 members attended the rescue which lasted two hours.
