A SOUTH Lakeland primary school is 'very pleased' to have been rated 'good' in its latest Ofsted report.
The education watchdog recognised that new headteacher Gillian Elliott had defined the school's core values and these were considered deeply by all pupils.
It was noted that the school provided a broad and balanced curriculum and adapted to meet more challenging national expectations which ensured that it was a fun place that pupil’s enjoyed.
Ms Elliott said: “Every day I find reason to be proud of someone or something at Allithwaite, from small acts of kindness to amazing puppet theatres, and I am glad that the report recognises our strengths”.
Chair of governors, Diane Fenton added: "I am thrilled that the hard work and the dedication of the team at Allithwaite has been recognised."
