A WOMAN is seeking an off-road wheelchair so that she can take part in the Kendal Colour Dash next month to raise money for St John's Hospice in Lancaster.

Laura Thornley, from Dent, who suffers from autoimmune condition called Connective Tissue Disorder, was told by the event organisers that she needs an off-road wheelchair in order to participate in the annual five-kilometre colour run from the town's Kirkbie Kendal School.

"It would be really important for me to get to do this," she said. "If an individual or organisation were able to help, I would be so grateful."

Closing date for registrations for this year's Kendal Colour Dash, which takes place on Sunday May 7, is at noon on Tuesday May 2.

Mrs Thornley can be contacted on 07779415644 or by email at laurathornley@me.com.
