A WORKSHOP focusing on the Storm Desmond recovery effort will be held in Penrith.
The Rheged based event, taking place on April 27, will explore what went well and what did not during the recovery effort.
Sessions will also identify any changes in practice that have already occurred as a result of experience ‘on the ground’ and pin-point any further changes that could improve Cumbria’s recovery plans and procedures.
It is not intended to cover the very early stages of response, evacuation and rescue during the floods.
The event is part of Cumbria Resilience Forum’s Storm Desmond Recovery: Identifying Lessons activities and is aimed at anyone who has played a role in facilitating community recovery.
This includes community representatives, third-sector organisations, elected members, and members of the formal recovery groups.
