IN DEFENCE of Industry is a new installation by Felicity Hammond which opens Signal Film and Media's exciting and innovative Lost Stations Digital Art Programme, designed to bring world class digital art opportunity to Barrow.
Felicity - Single Image Award Winner, British Journal of Photography in 2016 - works with digital photography and sculpture. Her new installation explores the area’s rich mining history and the subsequent shift towards the nuclear industry, imagining a landscape that combines imagery of past and present industry together with the area’s incredible rural landscapes.
The installation runs at Barrow's Cooke's Studios at 104 Abbey Road, from Friday, May 12, until Friday, May 26, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-6pm.
