LIVELY music filled the historic market hall in Hawkshead as the local freemasons hosted a “Last Night of the Proms” evening.
It was organised by Hawkshead Lodge member David Cole to raise money to purchase equipment for the new village health centre
Music was provided by accomplished organist Paul Gregson. Following the break for a buffet supper, and with song sheets to hand, everyone took part in the singing.
It culminated with those Prom favourites Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory as everyone rose to their feet and waved their Union Jacks.
Hawkshead Lodge master Tim Gill thanked everyone for their support in announcing that the evening had raised in excess of £350.
