WINDERMERE'S Cedar Manor hotel has been named best in the UK at the 'BoHos', the boutique hotel awards.

The awards reward the boutique and lifestyle hotels which provide the best in guest experiences and winners are decided by the hotel guests.

A combination of aggregated verified guest feedback from review sites and booking engines worldwide, and direct guest feedback via questionnaire was used to decided on the winners.

Cedar Manor's win was announced at a ceremony at the Montcalm Royal London House hotel, where it also picked up the award for UK Country and Coastal hotel with 1-20 rooms.

Two other Cumbrian hotels, Grasmere’s Forest Side, and Hipping Hall at Kirby Lonsdale, were also shortlisted for the country and coastal award.

Cedar Manor’s co-owner Caroline Kaye, who attended the event, said: "We are so thrilled to win this prestigious award.

"It’s a real tribute to the efforts of our team who work so hard to create the ultimate luxury experience for our guests and it’s especially pleasing that our guests appreciate staying here so much."
