BOOTHS in Kendal was evacuated after the supermarket's fire alarm sounded.
The alarm sounded at around 11.05am and staff and shoppers waited outside of the store for the emergency services to attend and assess the situation.
The supermarket re-opened at around 12.10pm and a member of staff has since told the Gazette that it was a false alarm.
