'Prayer and healing - a spiritual adventure' is the title of a talk to be given by an international lecturer in Windermere on Friday, June 9.

Nate Frederick is a member of the Board of Lectureship of the worldwide Christian Science Church, which has its headquarters in Boston, USA.

The lecture is sponsored by the Windermere branch of the church and will be held in its church building in Birthwaite Road, Windermere, on June 9 at 7pm. Refreshments will be served at 6.30pm, and there is free admission and parking.

Church spokesman Andrew Wilson said: "We hope many people will join us for this talk by Nate at a time when many are wanting to know how to pray and heal more effectively.

"Nate, who is in the full-time healing ministry of Christian Science, will share with us some of his best experiences, insights, and tips on how to heal mind and body. His 'Spiritual Adventure' talk explores faith that isn't blind, how to understand God as Love, and how to express Love unselfishly."

"He is a spiritual adventurer himself, having travelled the globe for a year sharing healing insights, exploring new cultures and performing music. Since his travels, which included hiking extensively in the Himalayas, he has worked since 2008 for the Christian Science Mother Church in Boston.

"We are very privileged to have such a worldwide spiritual adventurer visit us to share his experiences and healing insights with us here."
