FOUR men, including one from Kendal, have been warned they face "substantial" jail terms for their roles in a class A drugs supply plot.
The stark message was given at Carlisle Crown Court when the quartet appeared before Recorder Ahmed Nadim.
Over a video link from HMP Preston, James Inglesby, 29, pleaded guilty to two charges. He admitted conspiring with others to supply heroin and cocaine between March 12-29.
He was jointly involved in a plot to transport drugs from the Merseyside area into Kendal.
Three men have already admitted playing parts in the criminal enterprise. They are Jonathan Calvert, 31, of Stricklandgate, Kendal; Sean Till, 23, of no fixed address; and Stephen Welsh, 31, of Ackers Hall Avenue, Liverpool.
All sat in the court dock as Inglesby, of Clorain Road, Kirkby, Merseyside, entered his guilty pleas.
Recorder Nadim adjourned the case to September 26, when the men are due to be sentenced at the crown court. In the meantime all were remanded in custody.
The judge told the four men: "You will all appreciate, no doubt, from the advice that has been given to you, you face a substantial custodial sentence."
