A NEW booklet has been produced with the aim of promoting mental health awareness among different faith groups.
500 copies of Spiritual Links have been produced following a joint project between the South Lakeland Interfaith Forum and South Lakeland Mind (SLM).
Freddie Buchanan, SLM service co-ordinator and chair of the Spiritual Links steering group, said: "It's to promote understanding between local faith groups of mental health issues and to say 'we're here' and it's okay to ask for help.
"We're going to distribute them across South Lakeland in faith groups, community groups, churches and GP surgeries and places like that. If just one person picks it up and thinks they need help and contacts somebody then we've helped them and that's what it's all about."
