THE market day coffee morning on Wednesday, June 28, will be hosted by Killington Women's Institute. There will be heaps of delicious home baking to be purchased along with a raffle and friendly company. The event will be held in the

Cornerstone Community Church rooms, entrance from Joss Lane. Doors will open at 10am.

FARFIELD Mill's new exhibition will be on display from July 1. The exhibits are from the Embroiderers Guild and are sure to be exquisite. The mill is open daily from 10am-5pm. Meanwhile, Farfield's Weavers Cafe has changed its opening hours to 11am-3.30pm and only serves hot drinks for the moment.

NOTE that the town will be very busy over the weekend of July 1/2 when the Cycle Festival and Sportive will be in full swing on Lupton Field. There is a myriad of sporting activities taking place on Back Lane field with a soft toy play area for youngsters and plenty of food and drink while at the People’s Gym and Fitness Centre there is a static bike challenge with prizes to be won. Throughout the weekend there will be various racers and competitions organised by the Cycling Sportive.
