THE driver of a car has died after a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A66 at Warcop yesterday (Sunday 25) afternoon.
Police were called to the incident, which involved two cars and a goods vehicle, at around 4pm.
The driver of one of the cars received fatal injuries and died at the scene after being released from the vehicle by fire and rescue services.

The driver of the other car was taken to Cumberland Infirmary by ambulance and their condition was described as stable.
Police went from the scene to North Yorkshire to inform relatives of the deceased.
A formal identification is expected to take place today (June 26).
