LABOUR's Stewart Young has been re-elected as leader of Cumbria County Council this morning.

The decision was taken as the authority meets at Kendal County Hall for the first time since the local elections in May.

Cllr Young was challenged by the Tory membership on the council - but received enough votes with help from Liberal Democrats and three Independents.
