DRAMATIC bird's eye views of new-build homes in Eden have been released by developer Story Homes.

The Oaks, in the village of Clifton, is a development of 59 three, four and five-bedroom dwellings, including terraced, semi-detached and detached properties.

Story Homes, which has its head office at Carlisle, has unveiled the pictures to show how houses are coming along at the historically important site, close to the outskirts of Penrith.

Sales manager Susan Pollard described The Oaks as "a fantastic location" and said: "The aerial photos show the progress we are making on the development. The initial street scene as you drive onto the site with the Rebel Tree that has been preserved makes for a really striking feature.”

The oak tree marks the site of the last battle on English soil in 1745, between the forces of the Duke of Cumberland and Bonnie Prince Charlie’s retreating rebels.

Story Homes has opened its five-bedroom Mayfair show home at The Oaks following an invite-only event. The property's interior was designed and dressed by Suzanne Webster, who counts Next, Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan magazines among her clients.
