Letters in The Westmorland Gazette have re-opened the debate about how to spell Scafell.
Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level.
Scafell Pike is one of a horseshoe of high fells surrounding the head of Eskdale in the Lake District. It stands on the western side, with Scafell to the south and Great End to the north.
But just how do you pronounce 'Scafell'? There have been several suggestions over the years so it now it's time for you to tell us how it should be pronounced.
Have your vote above and let's try to settle the matter once and for all!
