FOUR people from the North East were arrested following a report of an assault near McDonald's at Stricklandgate, Kendal, on Saturday night.
Police arrived at the fast-food outlet shortly after 10pm on July 22, and found that the alleged offenders had made off in a taxi.
Officers managed to track the group to an address at Milnthorpe Road and made the arrests.
A 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Newcastle, were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A 28-year-old man from Newcastle and a 27-year-old woman from Wallsend were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and affray.
Cumbria Police said all four had been released under investigation, and nobody was believed to have been seriously injured in the incident.
