Ings sheep dog trails are cancelled
ORGANISERS of today's (August 10) Lake District Sheep Dog Trials at Hill Farms, Ings, have been forced to cancel the event because of the sodden ground.
Event secretary Carole Hodgson said a decision was made at the end of last week.

"To start with the farmer had not got his silage off and in getting it off he has made a bit of a mess and we did not want to add to that," she said.
"We get people coming from all over the world to watch. It is mainly a tourist audience. It's very sad."
