A WOMAN who walks with crutches was left 'severely shaken up' after an alleged assault in Dalton. 

The incident happened last night (August 19) at 8pm near the Horse and Jockey pub on Ulverston Road.

The suspect is thought to have spoken to a number of people outside the pub immediately before the alleged assault.

He is described by police as a white male aged between 20-25, 5ft 6in tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black shorts and thick black rimmed glasses. He had a large tattoo on the outside of his lower leg.

Police have said that he was with another male who was wearing a grey top, but who is not wanted in connection with the incident. 

The victim was not injured and there have been no arrests made so far.
