A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was airlifted to hospital with a head injury yesterday (August 20) after a collison in Kendal.
The boy, who was riding a bike, was involved in a collision with a car on Greengate Lane.
The North West Air Ambulance, police and the North West Ambulance Service were on the scene at around 4.20pm, with the air ambulance team landing on Ghyllside Primary School's playing field.

Family have told the Gazette that the boy is now waiting to be discharged from Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
A relative said that he was 'absolutely fine' but 'badly bruised' and 'extremely lucky'. They added it was a 'good thing' he was wearing a helmet.
They have also extended their thanks to the emergency services.
