DEVELOPERS have their sights set on a Flookburgh field to build 61 apartments for older people.

Two companies are seeking planning consent for the flats on open grassland off Moorside. They would be aimed at residents aged 65 to 80 who are independent and healthy, but with additional needs.

The development would offer a bistro, salon, laundry room, mobility scooter storage, bowling green, sensory garden and vegetable plot.
