STAFF at Levens car dealership PV Dobson and Sons have supplied Rosemere Cancer Foundation with its very own liveried van free-of-charge.

Members of the charity’s fundraising team can now get out and about to events throughout their south Cumbria and Lancashire territory, taking with them a gazebo, stand, tombola drum and other fun family games used to raise funds, plus prizes and merchandise.

Cathy Skidmore, Rosemere's corporate fundraising manager, said: “We are immensely grateful to PV Dobson and Sons for the free loan of a van. It has made a tremendous difference to us in terms of the number of events we’re able to attend as we can pack the van with a lot more equipment than we can a car so consecutive country shows, steam gatherings and family fun days are no longer a problem!

"We can also attend bigger events, where we need our gazebo to raise awareness of ourselves, and the bigger event, the more we need to take with us.”

PV Dobson and Sons also sponsors an annual Rosemere charity golf day and a South Lakes and North Lancs Rosemere volunteers' afternoon.

Ben Teece, a Renault sales specialist for the company, said: “It was a very good customer who introduced us to Rosemere back in 2015 and, since then, our partnership with the charity has grown to where it is today.

“We are proud to be associated with Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which has made such a tremendous difference to the lives of so many local cancer patients since it launched 20 years ago.”
