Rescue teams called after father and son, 10, lost on marshes
RESCUE teams went to the aid of a dad and his ten-year-old son after they got lost in marshes last night (Saturday).
The alarm was raised at 10.40pm by the child's mother after she became concerned that the duo were late home.
Furness and Millom coastguards were scrambled to look for the missing pair on Kirkby-in-Furness marshes.
Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue team and Bay Search and Rescue were placed on standby as the ride had started to turn.
The party saw the lights from the rescue teams and made it safely back to shore.
