EXPANSION work on a Kendal car showroom that will result in 15 new jobs has begun.
Kentdale Jaguar Land Rover's existing space, located on the corner of Shap Road and Gilthwaiterigg Lane will be significantly updated and extended, to offer additional workshop and showroom space.
There will also be substantial external grading and surfacing for customer and staff car parking.
Caddick Construction has been awarded the £4.1 million contract to undertake the work and work has now started on the project.
The team is scheduled to be on site for 52 weeks with completion due in 2018.
Eric Hadwin, director at Lakeland Land Rover, said: “The Hadwin family and staff are looking forward to the finished job and are pleased that Caddick Construction is currently on time and working with us to minimise the disruption to all our customers.”
