POLICE in Scotland are searching for a missing man who was last seen in Cumbria.

Stefano Baraglia, 50, who is originally from Coatbridge was last seen leaving an address in Cumbria on August 17, believed to be travelling to Scotland.

Stefano’s family and friends have also not heard from him since around July 20, and after becoming increasingly concerned, reported him to police on September 6.

Stefano is described as having brown collar length hair, of slim build and with tattoos on his neck and both arms. He was last seen wearing a black hoody, a blue McKenzie T-Shirt, blue Jeans and dark Nike Air Max Trainers. He was also carrying a dark coloured rucksack with pink dot thereon.

Constable Martyn Donnelly from Airdrie Police Station said: “It is out of character for Stefano to be out of contact with his family and friends for such a long period of time and everyone is incredibly worried about him.

“I would appeal to anyone with information on his whereabouts to please contact Airdrie Police Station via 101 and quote incident number 3280 of Wednesday 6th September.

“I would also appeal to Stefano directly to get in touch and let someone know that he is safe and well.”
