RENOVATORS and self-builders will be making a beeline for Harrogate in November, for the Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show.

Visitors will be able to speak to more than 240 exhibitors and listen to free advice sessions, seminars and masterclasses on a wide range of topics, from building your own home to finding your way through the planning maze and fitting the latest security systems.

The three-day showcase is to take place at Harrogate Convention Centre from Friday, November 3 to Sunday, November 5, and will bring lots of leading brands together under one roof, covering products such as eco and heating systems, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows and flooring.

New to this year's show is Estimators Online, a company that offers affordable estimating services for domestic building projects such as extensions, conversions, refurbishments and new-build dwellings. By using its in-house software, the team will quickly convert visitors’ drawings into an accurate labour and materials estimate.

Architectural specialists from the Royal Institute of British Architects will be on hand to offer 15-minute consultations on areas such as building regulations and structural engineer calculations for loft or barn conversions, extensions, internal alterations, new builds and more.

There will also be specialist Ask the Builder sessions hosted by the Federation of Master Builders; an Ask the Experts area; and a planning clinic to shed light on the potential pitfalls of the process.
