Heavy rain forecast for weekend
HEAVY persistent rain, accompanied by strong winds, is forecast for the region overnight on Saturday and throughout Sunday.
The Environment Agency anticipates there may be flood alerts issued over the weekend in low-lying areas. Flooding to properties is not currently expected, with surface water being the main issue.
