DOZENS of snap happy photographers have joined The Westmorland Gazette's new camera club.
Launched last week, the Facebook group now has more than 70 enthusiastic members.
The group is a place for Gazette readers to share their pictures of the local landscape or events.
The Westmorland Gazette's patch encompasses South Lakeland, Eden, Furness, north Lancashire and North Yorkshire so pictures from any of those locations are welcome.
To join, simply search 'The Westmorland Gazette Camera Club' on Facebook and then send a request.
Once accepted by the group's administrator, you will be able to share ideas and pictures with a like-minded group.
These pictures may then be used in print or online, with credit to you as the photographer.
"We knew that there were plenty of fantastic photographers living in our patch but we have been overwhelmed by the number of people to have joined The Westmorland Gazette's Camera Club," said Gazette editor Andrew Thomas. "I would encourage anyone who has an interest in capturing their surroundings to join the group and enjoy chatting to those with the same interest."
