South Lakes Citizens Advice
SOUTH Lakes Citizens Advice Bureau has warned residents of a cold calling scam.
Karen Evans, manager for the bureau said: "The scam is an organisation cold calling and claiming that they are from Citizens Advice and offering advice.
Ms Evans said she was called at home and when she challenged the caller, they hung up.
"We don't cold call people offering advice," she said. "Needless to say we are very concerned about this and want to ensure the public are made aware of it."
