THE 18th century Horse and Farrier pub in the village of Dacre, near Ullswater in the Lake District National Park, has been sold through specialist agent Mere Commercial.
The company acted on behalf of the vendors to sell the inn to the Brockbank family, who hail from the Wigton area and have plans to upgrade the hostelry.
Duncan Young, director of Mere Commercial, described the pub and leisure market as "in good health recently".
