A BRAND new estate agency is being launched by an Arnside father-of-two.

Ben Waterhouse told the Gazette he hopes his in-depth knowledge of the local market - coupled with old-fashioned, traditional values - will give customers "complete confidence and peace of mind".

The 33-year-old has set up Waterhouse Estate Agents for residential sales and lettings after many years' working in property development for the care industry. The newly launched company will cover "everything between Kendal and Lancaster", including villages such as Arnside, Milnthorpe, Yealand, Silverdale, Holme and Crooklands.

Married to primary school teacher Katherine, and with two young children, Ben said he realised it was "a massive move" for people to decide to sell their home. He wants his future clients to feel reassured at every step of the way, and said viewings would be available seven days a week, during and outside office hours to fit in with people's busy lives.

"As a family business we have lived in the area all our lives – we know the local market and have experienced it ourselves, the positives and the negatives," said Ben.

"We understand local demographics and the effects these can have on property value. We are dedicated to you and your home to make sure we can support at every stage from instruction to completion."

Waterhouse will also be offering a bespoke residential lettings service, which can include rent collection and full management if landlords require.

"We will look after your property like it was our own and ensure the tenants meet our high standards too, to make sure whatever the future of your property it will be maintained to a fantastic standard," he added.
