A WARNING has been issued to rival football fans ahead of a derby cup clash being held in Kendal this evening.

Kendal Town FC will host Lancaster City in the Integro League Challenge Cup at the Pye Motors Stadium tonight.

A statement on the Mintcakes' Facebook page warned fans about their conduct at the match given trouble at previous encounter.
The club also announced there were would be a strict no alcohol policy in place.

The statement said: "Due to problems encountered at our previous derby match, Kendal Town will have a no alcohol policy at the match. Increased security will also be around the ground.

"The following articles must not be brought within the ground: alcohol, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety.

"Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Ground.

"Any article that might be used as a weapon, be deemed to be offensive or abusive, or compromise public safety, will be confiscated and or reported to the police.

"Threatening, abusive or violent behaviour, and foul or abusive language is strictly forbidden and will result ejection from the ground. KTFC may impose a ban from the Ground as a result.

"Causing damage to, or interfering or tampering with any equipment, furniture, fitting or fixture within the ground will result in ejection from the ground.

"Racial, homophobic or discriminatory abuse, chanting or harassment is strictly forbidden and will result in ejection from the ground. KTFC may impose a ban from the ground as a result."
