Hate crime down in Cumbria
CUMBRIA is bucking the national trend, with recorded hate crimes down.
Statistics from the Home Office show that there were 315 hate crimes recorded by the police in 2016/2017 in comparison to 363 in 2015/2016.
However, in England and Wales recorded hate crimes are up from 62,518 in 2015-16 to 80,393 in 2016-17.
