THE Joint Is Jumpin' - the trio that makes up 52 Skidoo swing like they did in the good ol' days of Speakeasy, Prohibition, Vaudeville and Tin Pan Alley. The band's musical performance projects attention to detail and authenticity of the James P. JANE Eyre - An Autobiography told through Jane's eyes. THE smash-hit West End and Broadway musical comedy Hairspray is arriving at the Sands Centre, Carlisle, for a short run. BRANTWOOD Winter Craft Fair, at Coniston, takes place on Saturday & Sunday (November 11 & 12). Once the home of English art critic of the Victorian era, John Ruskin, the house will showcase crafts for sale and viewing including pottery, jewellery, fused and stained glass, felt bags, swill baskets, artworks and prints, lampshades, vases, cakes, Christmas puddings and preserves. Plus demonstrations of fly-tying, pole lathing, spinning, rag rugs and baskets. Open from 10.30am-5pm.

LAKELAND Model Farm & Construction Show can be enjoyed on Sunday (November 12) at Rheged Visitor Centre, near Penrith. On display will be 25 diaramas and more than 20 trade stands selling model farm and construction models. The show is suitable for all ages. Open from 10am-4pm.
